Luxottica Retail has become one of the 130,000 business across the UK that offer apprenticeships with its first intake joining in September.
Enrolment took place is five stores, in the London area, for positions in collaboration with Oaklands College. Over the next 12-18 months apprentices will work with Oaklands College and the awarding body support the apprentices through their employment with Luxottica.
The firm said a dedicated project team will support and offer guidance to the intake. Luxottica Retail said taking on apprentices would improve business performance and ensure a committed and competent workforce. The apprentices would develop into a motivated workforce that would benefit from formal training under a nationally recognised body offering formal qualifications.
