Mainline Instruments keeping it in the family

Birmingham-based ophthalmic instrument supplier Mainline Instruments has announced the appointment of Jack Hawkins to its sales and marketing team.

Son of managing director Simon Hawkins, Hawkins Jnr would help to enhance the quality of the company’s website design, user-experience and analytics capability.

Returning to the Midlands from London, Hawkins expressed his desire to help take the company forward as he enters a new industry.

‘I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and educating myself about all things optometry and ophthalmology. It’s going to be a steep learning curve but a challenge that I’m really excited about,’ he said.

Welcoming his son’s appointment, Simon Hawkins said: ‘I am extremely proud of Jack and I am delighted to have him on board at such an exciting time for the business.
