Marcolin 2023 financial results

Global eyewear group Marcolin reported net sales of €558.3m for 2023, with growth of 2% compared to 2022, despite international instability and logistical complexity over the past year.

Margins significantly increased by €78.1m, compared to €61.0m in 2022, while the trend in the adjusted EBITDA margin stood at 14.0% of net sales.

The group recorded a net profit of €10.2m, an increase of €16.0m compared to the previous year.

Performance in Asia - a 'high potential market' - grew by 81.5% at current exchange rates, while performance in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region increased by 1.7% at current exchange rates.

In 2023, the group finalised the licence agreement for Tom Ford Eyewear, acquired independent brand ic! Berlin and at the start of 2024 it also renewed licences with Pucci, Zegna, GCDS and Max&Co, plus secured an exclusive licence agreement with Christian Louboutin.
