Marcolin acquires ic! Berlin

Italian eyewear company Marcolin has acquired ic! berlin, taking full control of the German brand and integrating its 140 employees.

ic! berlin is headquartered in the German capital with a manufacturing plant, as well as two subsidiaries in Japan and the US.

Marcolin said the acquisition was part of its strategy to enhance its expertise in metal manufacturing, broadening its luxury portfolio and strengthening its position in Asia and Europe.

ic! berlin was founded in 1996 and carried out in-house design, prototyping, manufacturing and assembling of luxury sunglasses and spectacles.
