Maui Jim launches new lens

Maui Jim has introduced a lens which is claimed to offer the benefits of both glass and polycarbonate technologies while continuing to offer the colour enhancement and polarisation found across Maui Jim’s sunglass portfolio.

Mauibrilliant is a third of the weight of glass while offering a similar level of clarity but also has the benefits of impact and scratch resistance.

The company said the material was the lightest it had ever offered and had twice the clarity of polycarbonate. Alongside these benefits the lens also incorporated Maui Jim’s PolarisedPlus2 technology which eliminates glare and 95% of high energy visible (blue) light and 100% of ultra violet light. This technology also offers the company’s trademark colour enhancement.
