Cardiff University has announced that postgraduate student Moyra McClure, who works at Ulster University and the HES in Northern Ireland, has been awarded the Richard Roberts prize.
McClure has competed her advanced low vision course and received a higher certification in low vision. She attained one of the two highest marks across all the postgraduate courses this year.
Richard Roberts OBE CBE was chief optometric adviser to the Welsh Government for over a decade, during which time he was instrumental in establishing the Primary Eyecare Acute Referral Scheme, the Low Vision Service Wales and Wales Optometry Postgraduate Education Centre.
