Menicon has appointed two new joint managing directors of its UK and Ireland subsidiary company, David Thomas Contact Lenses. Graham Avery and Kevin Mitchell will head up the operation and replace William Thomas, son of company founder David Thomas.
'The David Thomas brand remains in good hands with Graham and Kevin, who will help us strengthen our position in the European custom lens market,' said Toshio Matsushima, executive officer of Menicon.
The company has also implemented a joint managing director set-up at its Dutch subsidiary company, NKL Contactlenzen. Peter Nijhuis and Bart van der Linden will lead operations in the Netherlands and report directly to Matsushima.
