Menicon launched Miru 1day UpSide Toric, a daily disposable contact lens that features the company’s Smart Touch packaging concept to complete its Upside range.
Benefits of the Smart Touch technology include easier application and reduced risk of contamination as the wearer only touches the outer surface of the lens, Menicon said.
The toric lens has been designed in respect of the eye’s natural shape to enhance stability and comfort and allow the lens to naturally orientate when applied. It also features class 2 UV A and B filters to provide year-round protection from UV rays.
Kevin Mitchell, managing director at Menicon, said: ‘Its design will be transformational for daily disposable lens wearers, making their day-to-day experience quicker, easier and much more comfortable.’
