New from German frame manufacturer Menrad are eight frames from its Joop! collection and two additions to its in-house Menrad range. Menrad said its Joop! winter 2012 collection had three main trend influences light, modern metallics and surface texture. Pictured left from the collection are the men's 83171 and the women's 83169 frames.
The men's model is made from metal and features a deep lens shape and a subtle cut-away nose bridge. The women's frame features a curvier metal front in a matt hue with patterned acetate temples.
Taken from the in-house Menrad collection (pictured right) are the men's 13261 and women's 13308 frames. Thanks to the mix of curves and flat brow line, the metal 13261 frame has something of a sports feel, which is accentuated by the matt colour options of blue/silver, petrol/silver and charcoal. The women's 13308 has a bold rectangular shape, with subtle colour options of mocca and charcoal. However, splashes of colour on the outer rim give the frame a feminine appeal.
