Minima has launched a range of coloured sleeves for its Minima-Zero collection in response to customer demand.
The sleeves are made from a thermo retractable-based material from the polyolefine family, which shrinks on heating and covers the entire temple from tip to lens joint, said the company. The non-allergenic material responds well to conventional lens cleaners and practice samples can be made by heating the sleeves onto the polished titanium temples.
Minima director Philip Rose said: 'For quite some time customers have been asking us to produce colours like red and white. Generally it is impossible to treat titanium to make these colours well. Because of its minimalism, Minima-Zero was the perfect collection for this added-value option.' Minima said its Minima-Zero collection gave a unique feeling of wearing no frames at all and had no hinges, screws, nuts, bolts, washers or nose pads.
The new sleeves are available in: red, apricot, white and lemon green.
