MiSight donations fund children’s vision programme

CooperVision has been donating a percentage of sales to Our Children's Vision

CooperVision has highlighted the success of the Brien Holden Vision Institute’s Our Children’s Vision programme that it donates to using a percentage of its MiSight 1Day contact lens sales.

In 2019, Our Children’s Vision provided services such as screenings and referrals to over five million children with 478,978 children receiving spectacles or low vision devices.

Specialty optometrist training was delivered to 1,138 students and supporting staff in countries where there are emerging optometry school residents.

James Gardner, vice president of global myopia management at CooperVision, said: ‘We are proud of their achievements, made possible in part through our financial assistance from MiSight 1Day contact lens sales. We look forward to continuing to support the programme as we all band together to help manage the myopia public health epidemic.’
