BIB Ophthalmic Instruments directors Tim Baker and Ron Wright have founded a new company focusing on therapeutics, supplements and general diagnostic consumables.

Mitron Medical was created to fill what the directors said was a gap in the market for a supplier that offered practices a range of products from one source with special pricing rates for product bundles that were not always readily available.

Along with a range of in-house branded dry eye products, Mitron I-Dew and Mitron LOC Tears, the company said it would work closely with some of the UK’s best known suppliers, including Moorfields, Altacor, Spectrum Thea, Sauflon, Macushield and Eagle Vision Punctum Plugs from the US.
