New York-based eyewear brand unveils new models at Silmo

New York-based eyewear brand Moscot unveiled this year’s autumn-winter product releases at Silmo in Paris. Eight ophthalmic and sunglass frame designs were added to its ranges, five of these expand the ‘Originals’ collection of nouveau-vintage styles.

Each new ‘Originals’ frame has been named after a characteristic Yiddish word and constructed using combinations of metal and acetate material. Models, Schlep, Klug, Kibits and Groyse join the collection. Pictured above is the model ‘Brude’, which means ‘brother’. Its design nods to a glasses style from the 1960s. A bold acetate eye matches the temple tips and rounds the corners of the square masculine ridged metal structure. The model comes in colours of black-silver or burnt tortoise-gold, in sizes 48 and 51. The sunglass version comes only in an eye size of 51.
