MP stresses OO importance

An independent practice has played host to MP Gareth Thomas who stressed the importance of regular eye tests.

The parliamentarian visited Visioncare Medical Eye Centre in Wealdstone, Harrow and was given a demonstration of how optical equipment functions by senior optometrist and chair of Brent and Harrow Local Optical Committee Bharat Rughani.

Thomas said: 'Optometrists in the UK are eye care professionals trained to a very high standard and are ideally placed in the community to offer eye care services that are convenient and easily accessible. They should be the first port of call for those with eye problems.'
