M&S Opticians to be operated by Owl Optical

Owl Optical steps in to operate M&S Opticians after it collapsed this year

Owl Optical has stepped in to operate M&S Opticians after the in-store opticians stalled earlier this year.

An M&S spokesperson told Optician: ‘We remain committed to reshaping our space and services through concessions and we’re pleased to be continuing our "test and learn" pilot of M&S Opticians with Owl Optical in six practices. We’ll continue to monitor it carefully and look forward to hearing our customers’ feedback.’

Owl Optical, which is part of the Scrivens Group but operates independently from them, also told Optician: ‘We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen by Marks & Spencer to fulfil its new in-store retail optical service. This undoubtedly represents a very exciting new chapter for our business and for the people who will be joining our team. We’re looking forward to hearing customer feedback.’
