multiple helps heart patient

A multiple practice in Hampshire has helped a heart transplant teenager with free spectacles after performing its first domiciliary eye test in 10 years. Specsavers Opticians in Havant heard how 16-year-old Kirsty McDonald (above), who is in hospital after suffering a stroke, lost her spectacles in Southampton General Hospital. Optometrist Sudheen Patel said the outlet was happy to carry out the examination at the hospital. Ms McDonald underwent a heart transplant at Great Ormond Street Hospital 18 months ago.
