multiple sets sight-saving target

Specsavers Opticians has pledged to raise £150,000 to help charity Sight Savers International improve optical care for people in developing countries. The Guernsey-based multiple has become a founding member of the charityÕs Corporate Membership Scheme. ÔWe are proud to be able to play a part in realising Sight SaversÕ vision of a world in which nobody is needlessly blind,Õ said Specsavers joint founder and director Mary Perkins. ÔAnd weÕre delighted that we are being given the opportunity to help them continue to make such an incredible impact on so many peopleÕs lives in some of the worldÕs poorest communities.Õ One of the companyÕs first fundraising activities will be to auction a musical sculpture featured at the SpecsaversÕ Garden for the visually impaired at this summerÕs Hampton Court Palace Flower Show (see page 5).
