German eyewear manufacturer Mykita has continued its collaboration with designer Damir Doma. After the DD01 metal and buffalo horn frame (Optician 18.12.12), two new models have been released in the form of DD012 and DD03. Both models feature round silhouettes and the sandwich of materials remains, but this time acetate is used instead of horn.

The DD02 frame features a thin inner ring of acetate, which is a available in a number of colours - including clear, which, when used with tinted lenses, gives the impression that the lens is floating in the metal frame.

The DD03 has a sportier feel thanks to the addition of an extra nose bridge - which is also sandwiched in acetate. Zeiss lenses are used for sunglass versions.
