Mykita and German optics manufacturer Leica have announced a collaboration to produce sunglass models with high precision lenses.
The collection has been handcrafted at the Mykita Haus in Berlin and is defined by a refined, functional aesthetic focusing on superior lens performance. Two design series make up the collection: A stainless-steel only range and a line that combine stainless steel with Mykita’s 3D printed material, Mylon.
Lenses feature AquaDura Vision Pro, an achromatic anti-reflective coating providing protection against rear reflections, fogging and fingerprints.
MLO5
A nod to Leica’s camera heritage, the MLO1 (1) features a Mylon brow-bar to block light to the eyes from above, like the hood of a camera, while MLO5 (2) is a pure stainless-steel frame featuring a raised brow bar and squared-off military styled eye rims.
