Myopia tool navigates around the world

A myopia resource for parents created by CooperVision and the World Council of Optometry is being used in 126 countries in less than a year since it launched.

The US, UK, Malaysia, India, Australia and Canada had the most active users on the Myopia Management Navigator and the companies said its usage represented 64% of all countries globally.

Dr Sandra Block, WCO president, said: ‘We celebrate this enormous achievement for the Navigator, which demonstrates the impact the Navigator is having all over the world. As the adoption of myopia management continues to grow, so does awareness of the crucial role myopia management plays in protecting vision in children now and adults in the future. We look forward to seeing even more users explore the Navigator in the years ahead, driving continued progress in transforming children’s eye care.’
