NEHW outlines 2023 plans

Eye Health UK has announced the daily themes for this year’s National Eye Health Week (NEHW), which will take place from September 18-24.

A day focused on NHS eye care and support will highlight eligibility for NHS sight tests and optical vouchers, as well as the range of services provided by optical practices.

NEHW’s ‘tween to teen’ campaign will discuss increasing levels of myopia, the importance of early diagnosis and advances in myopia management.

Other topics included digital eye care, the links between eye health and mental wellbeing, and highlighting how smoking can contribute to sight loss.

NEHW’s Vista magazine will explore how lifestyle factors can influence eye health, and a photographic competition and exhibition is also being arranged.
