The National Eyecare Group is celebrating three decades of supporting UK independents with an offer of £300-worth of holiday vouchers with First Choice to any practice joining before March 30, 2009. Existing members who introduce a colleague to the group also receive £300 of holiday vouchers, which can be used on one holiday or a number of breaks.
Set up as Percy Kirk in 1979, NEG now has almost 1,000 members countrywide, from the tip of Scotland to the Channel Islands, from small house practices to some of the best known names in British optics.
The original directors Michael Daunt and Michael Wheeler are still at the helm, as the group has adapted and grown. They point out that NEG offers savings in time and money, making practices more profitable and efficient in their accounts administration, along with preferential terms on optical goods and business resources.
