Jo Holmes handed responsibility over to Daryl Newsome

A presidential handover ceremony took place in London as Jo Holmes handed responsibility over to Daryl Newsome at the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).

At the ceremony, Newsome thanked Holmes for her dedication and hard work during the two years that she was in the role. He also handed over the vice-presidency to Kevin Gutsell.

Holmes spoke about her experience as president, including the unexpected challenges of Covid-19, and will now become an advisor to the board for two years as immediate past-president.

Newsome will serve as ABDO president until April, 2024 and the Gutsell’s successor as vice-president will be announced in October, 2023.
