Tim Fricke is new acting executive director of the Brien Holden Vision Institute

Tim Fricke has been announced as the new acting executive director of the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI).

Fricke will manage the team while executive director Leigh Cleave goes travelling for a year. He has been working at BHVI as a senior research fellow and is also an optometrist, researcher and international development practitioner with paediatrics clinical experience and post-graduate research into paediatrics eye care and health economics.

He said: ‘I am a passionate advocate for sight being a fundamental right for everyone, regardless of where they live and BHVI is the world leader in ensuring this vision becomes a reality. It is an exciting time to be taking BHVI to the world.’
