Sight loss charity Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) has helped develop a smart phone app to help visually impaired people locate cash points more easily.
Created by UK cash machine network LINK, the app allows users to set up filters to find ATMs that cater to different needs including audio assistance, wheelchair accessible and mobile recharging services.
TPT worked with the app’s developers to ensure it was accessible with VoiceOver and TalkBack screen readers.
Feedback can be sent via the app to report ATMs that do not offer the services stated in the app allowing LINK to keep the database up-to-date and fix issues.
