New device aids Blepharitis management

New from Scope Ophthalmics is the BlephEx cleaning device for Blepharitis management.

The device, said to be the first and only clinician treatment for the condition, features a medical-grade micro-sponge which spins along the edge of the eyelids and lashes, removing scurf and debris and exfoliating at the same time. The treatment was said to be efficient, fast and well-tolerated by patients.

‘BlephEx provides the solution and offers a new, in-practice procedure that allows your eye specialist to take an active role in treating Blepharitis. It reduces scurf and bacterial debris both of which are the main causes of inflammatory lid disease, and it also improves the overall health of the eyelid,’ said a company spokesperson.
