Melson Wingate, the south coast practice group currently undergoing a programme of modernisation, has appointed an additional director to control of production, buying and distribution.
The business, which was involved in on-off take over talks at the turn of the year, has welcomed Peter Hill to the board. Qualified as a chartered company secretary, Mr Hill has fulfilled that role, as well as general manager in the three years since he joined Melson Wingate. As well being responsible for day-to-day control of the company's logistics, Mr Hill will be responsible for Melson Wingate's branch re-fitting programme. Nigel Wingate, chairman of the company, said: 'As the company continues with its programme of modernisation and development the maintenance of its high standards is essential. 'I have seen the high standards to which Peter Hill works, and it is a real pleasure to welcome him to the board.'
