New Optical Express clinic packs a punch

North east boxing champion Glen McCrory pulled no punches as he opened the new Optical Express flagship clinic in Newcastle’s Intu Eldon Square shopping centre and spoke about the vision problems that had affected his boxing career.

The new 350sqm clinic replaces the old Optical Express site in Northumberland Road and was said to have been launched as a result of business growth in the Newcastle area. It will offer a range of eye care services including eye tests, spectacles and contact lenses as well as free laser eye surgery and lens replacement surgery consultations. Staff from the old clinic will transfer to the new premises.
