Presio W, the double-surface design progressive lens from Nikon, is now available in CR39.
The lens is available in 1.74, 1.67, 1.60 and 1.50 with either HCC ikon or HCC original coatings.
All of these options are manufactured in the UK except for the 1.74 version.
Presio W in 1.67 (12 design only) has also been extended to +8.00D combined (maximum cyl. +4.00DC).
The lens incorporates a back surface aberration filter, designed to eliminate the visual constraints common to conventional front-surface progressive designs.
Nikon said the back surface of the lens is specifically calculated and produced using complex computer software, together with advanced free-form surfacing technology to not only complete the prescription but also to minimise the aberrations produced by the progressive surface. The result is a ‘revolutionary lens offering almost natural vision’, the company said.
