Online contact lens retailer Vision Direct has rebranded and overhauled its website using direct feedback from its customers – following the website’s acquisition by GetLenses.co.uk in February.
The company conducted a survey of 1,000 customers, resulting in changes that included free next day delivery, a faster checkout option and website design with no use of the colour red – deemed to have negative connotations for contact lens wearers.
One of its largest changes under the rebranding was a new Vision Direct logo, after 85 per cent of those surveyed ranked the new logo either their first or second favourite.
Ashley Mealor, group marketing director of VisionDirect.co.uk, said: ‘VisionDirect.co.uk is the most well-recognised online brand in this sector with 49 per cent of contact lens wearers knowing who we are.
