New practice Healthy U to feature Heidelberg Engineering's Spectralis technology

Heidelberg Engineering’s Spectralis technology will be at the heart of new Bedford practice, Healthy U. Established by OO Jude Edwards (pictured), Healthy U has sought to change the mould of high street practice with a focus on clinical excellence linked to education and plenty of co-operation with other healthcare providers.

A lounge, which doubles as a seminar room, will also be used for regular diabetic and AMD talks. Edwards said the multi-modality Spectralis unit would be used to build business around the management and monitoring of patients with chronic conditions.

The practice offered free Spectralis health checks at a recent open day with patient talks on the benefits of the unit.
