Rodenstock has claimed its UK customers have seen delivery times improve by 24 hours over the first quarter of 2012 thanks to new ordering software.
SAP ordering software now oversees the entire ordering process, and was claimed to have provided the company with a more streamlined and efficient way of working. Transportation route optimisation was also claimed to have facilitated the improved delivery times, as was considerably improved stock holding capacity for its coated lenses.
Andrew Cobbold, production director for Rodenstock UK, said: 'Due to the considerable efforts made during 2011, our customers are now reporting best-ever service levels. With further improvements planned for this year, opticians will continue to experience an enhanced customer service.'
