Clinical trials at the University of Leicester have demonstrated that multipurpose solution Regard is effective against Acanthamoeba cysts and Trophozoites. The results of the trials, conducted for Advanced Eyecare by clinical scientist Simon Kilvington, will be on display as a poster at the BCLA conference this weekend.
Boots raided
Staff at a Boots outlet were left shocked when they discovered that colleagues were forced to hand over thousands of pounds last weekend while their relatives were held hostage. The Belfast-based branch, which houses a Boots Opticians department, was raided early on May 28, and £200,000 taken, reported BBC News.
