Next generation eSight device launches in UK

The eSight device obtained a CE Mark in August

VisionAid Technologies has launched the latest version of its assistive technology eSight device in the UK after it obtained a CE Mark in August.

Gregory Ogorek, COO and president of eSight, said: ‘Our expansion into Europe is the first step in reaching a larger audience, so we can change lives for even more people around the world.’

The company said eSight combines best-match camera and lens technology with advanced sensors and algorithms to maximise the quality of information sent to the brain, which causes augmentation of sight.

It added that a typical eSight user has visual acuity from 6/18 to 6/240 caused by different eye conditions such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy but the patient could achieve 6/6 wearing eSight.
