No7 in its element with new hybrid lens

A hybrid contact lens with a ‘no fit – no fee’ promise was launched by No7 Contact Lenses at the recent BCLA exhibition, following five years of research and development.

The RGP portion of the lens is available in two diameters – 10mm and 8.5mm. The smaller diameter is designed for keratoconic eyes, and can be fitted using any standard KC fitting set. No7 said this was expected to be especially useful for hospitals as the fitting strategy is familiar and no new sets are needed.

‘Designed to overcome the issues of previous hybrid designs, this is an important development as practices take on more previously hospital-based irregular corneal work,’ said Katie Harrop, No7 professional services manager.
