Norville Optical Group administration

Some 156 employees will lose their jobs as Norville Group goes into administration

Norville Optical Group has been placed in administration with all 156 employees being made redundant.

Administrator BDO LLP was appointed last week (July 3) to manage the financial dealings of the Gloucestershire-based company, which has sites in Bolton, Seaham and Livingston. BDO said it was now inviting offers from parties interested in acquiring different parts of the business and its assets.

Last week in a separate transaction, the Norville group of optical practices were acquired by the Hakim Group.
