Obituary - Bryan Mackrell

Mr Mackrell joined Leightons Opticians as a trainee in 1956, holding managerial positions at several branches throughout his career which spanned 43 years. His last appointment was as a mobile relief manager and health and safety auditor. He was an active Association of British Dispensing Opticians committee member, having been elected to the Wessex Area committee in 1964, and later to the post of chairman in 1972. He leaves a wife, Gwen, a son, and two grandchildren.
