Optician is saddened to report the death of practice owner Christine Harm, who died on January 17 at the age of 63.
A dedicated dispensing optician and contact lens optician, Harm was also the owner of Orrell Opticians in Ellesmere Port with her husband, John Harm.
Both John and Christine joined the Hakim Group in 2018 and continued to provide excellent care to their patients throughout the pandemic.
Imran Hakim, the group’s CEO, said: ‘First and foremost, Christine was a wonderful friend to so many across our family of practice teams as well as Hakim Group HQ. Christine epitomised professionalism, with her work ethic and resourcefulness she was a real pleasure to work with and a role model for all those around her. Above all, she was immeasurably kind.
‘I know she was busy planning her well-deserved retirement with John, and we are all utterly devastated at her loss.’
Harm was survived by her husband and son, Rob, and her sister, Sally Bates, a dispensing optician who works at ABDO College.
