Jon Courtenage died suddenly at home on July 29 this year aged just 40.
He joined RA & F Riley Optometrists in 1992, as a young man straight from school and later attended City and Islington College, qualifying as a dispensing optician in 1998.
Highly accomplished, he stayed on in the same practice, renamed to Dolphins Optometrists, when it was taken over by Umesh Patel in April this year. Courtenage was passionate about engineering and fast cars and was very proud of his achievements in all his endeavours.
He will be remembered by all of his colleagues and patients as a warm and caring person, smiling constantly and a devoted father.
