The Optical Confederation has commented on the learning outcomes for the College’s Professional Diploma in Low Vision.
While noting three courses – including the professional certificate, higher certificate and diploma, enabled an individual to manage most aspects of low vision practise – the OC said it was mindful of cost and confusion for commissioners.
‘Given the overlap, [we] are unpersuaded as to why three separate courses are necessary for most practitioners,’ it added.
