Ocular Sciences has entered the one-day disposable contact lens market with the Biomedics 1 day.
The lens is made from Ocufilon B, a material with a 52 per cent water content, and incorporates a handling tint and an ultraviolet block.
The lens is made to the high standards of its other products, stated Ocular Sciences, with individual inspection for each lens during manufacture.
Paul Huxley, director of sales UK said customers had been asking the company to launch a one-day lens with clinical performance of its Biomedics 55UV monthly. ÔWe are now delighted to be able to meet their needs,Õ he said.
