Ocushield has been named among 148 companies to be awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise, the first of these accolades to be presented by the new monarch.
Dhruvin Patel, optometrist, founder and CEO at Ocushield, said: ’I am extremely honoured and proud that Ocushield has been recognised in this way. To know His Majesty The King personally approves each recipient is mind blowing.’
Ocushield screen protectors were developed by Patel in 2013 while he researched blue light at university and has gone on to be sold in 147 countries.
The award will be officially presented by the Lord Lieutenant for Greater London and Patel will be invited to a royal reception with His Majesty The King at Buckingham Palace later this year.
