OO praises local supplier

Optometrist Kenneth Wilson (pictured right) has praised a local supplier after reaching 10,000 orders.

Alan McCracken (left), director of glazing lab AB Optical, hand delivered the landmark spectacles to the County Antrim-based Kenneth Wilson Opticians practice. AB Optical, which has its own surfacing facility, has a customer base covering the whole of Northern Ireland.

Wilson said: 'I had found the geographic distance a real barrier to building up a satisfactory working relationship with labs based elsewhere in the UK. But with AB Optical, I am really fortunate that they are literally "just down the road". It means I've been able to work closely with them to guarantee my customers the quality and speed of service I expect, while also supporting a local business.'
