Opposites attract for Lacoste

Through its distributor Marchon, Lacoste has released the new Magnetic collection. Comprising 14 sunglass and ophthalmic styles, frames in the new collection feature telescopic temples which attach at the back of the patient's head using magnets in each temple.

Pictured from the collection are the 2467 and 2608 ophthalmic frames and the L640 sunglass. The ophthalmic models have a similar rectangular silhouette, but different temple positioning gives them individual styles. The L640 sunglass has a modified aviator shape with cut away nose bridge.

The collection has been backed by a social media marketing campaign showing a two minute video demonstrating how the frames work. The company said the video had been shared with nearly 14 million Facebook friends and 400,000 Twitter followers.
