Optegra celebrated Black History Month in October with an event that featured guest speaker Dr Narissa Ramdhani who shared her experiences of being a black woman in leadership and working with Nelson Mandela.
Ramdhani spoke about challenges she had faced during her journey to set her own path away from limited education and arranged marriage to international travel and anti-apartheid activism.
During the session, women in leadership positions at Optegra shared stories and advice as well as words of encouragement to other members of the team.
The online event was part of Optegra’s Be You initiative, which was set up to ensure employees have a voice and feel valued as individuals.
