Opti calls for ECPs response to Optical Trend Radar

Opti has called for eye care professionals worldwide to participate in an optics trend assessment to build an Optical Trend Radar for identifying early trends in the eye health market and establish targeted future directions.

The trend assessment is a comprehensive survey on a total of 31 trends across five areas of action, which is open until Saturday, 30 September 2023.

Macro trends assessed include work & culture; digitalisation & technology; communication & operations; values & sustainability; and eye health & new markets. Active Ageing, Zero Waste, Smart Materials, Myopia Management and Smart Glasses were some specific topics highlighted.

Opti director Cathleen Kabashi said: 'Companies have to keep pace, and where possible be a decisive nose ahead. That is why it is important for every industry participant to realistically assess the technological, societal, and social developments specific to optics. What will come, how and when? These are the questions that the trend radar should answer. For this, it needs the assessment of the trends by as broad a mass as possible!'

The Optical Trend Radar survey results will be discussed live at Opti in Munich, January 12-14, 2024. Take the survey at https://bit.ly/3Yfvy7K.
