Optical assistant celebrates 30 years

Optical assistant Carol Barker celebrated 30 years – her pearl anniversary - with Edmonds and Slatter opticians in Glenfield this month.

Since joining the independent in 1993, Barker has seen the practice move from its original location above a vet’s surgery to a more prominent location on Stamford Street.

Tim Cole, partner at Edmonds and Slatter Opticians, presented Barker with jewellery and a voucher for a weekend in London to show the practice’s appreciation for her continued hard work.

‘Carol has not only become the face of our Glenfield practice, but her commitment and dedication to patient care embodies all the things that Edmonds & Slatter stand for as a company,’ he said.
