Optical Express extends shadow scheme

Optical Express has extended its Optometry Shadow Programme after it was trialed for three months earlier this year.

Optometrists on the scheme are given the opportunity to shadow another optometrist who is involved in the refractive surgery pathway.

Stephen Hannan, clinical services director at Optical Express, said: ‘Optometrists who take part in the Shadow Programme can observe as, day in and day out, our expert clinicians and clinical teams transform the lives of our patients through surgical vision correction and premium cataract surgery. The extension of our Shadow Programme ensures that more optometrists can be guaranteed a truly eye-opening experience.’
