Optical Express upgrades Inverness practice

Optical Express invested over £1m at its Inverness practice

Over £1m has been invested by Optical Express to expand and upgrade its Inverness practice and create improved access to cataract surgery for patients.

The multiple said additional capacity would help patients in Scotland on NHS waiting lists, who faced waits of up to 12 months for surgery.

David Moulsdale, founder and CEO of Optical Express, said: ‘This major investment in our Inverness clinic will be welcomed by local patients and NHS services alike. Our community optometrists are reporting worrying trends in cataracts patients across the UK, with many facing long waits for NHS surgery. This additional capacity in Inverness, with the clinic able to treat hundreds of patients each month, is great news for the city and will provide local patients with greater independence and choice.’
