Optician Awards donation delivered to VAO

Optician editor Chris Bennett hands over a cheque for £1,770 to Fiona Lamont, development officer at Vision Aid Overseas in the shadow of the giant Olympic rings on Surrey's Box Hill.

The money was raised by donations from guests at the charity casino held at the Optician Awards earlier this year.

Bennett, and a team of cyclists from optics, met Lamont during a training as part of their preparation for the Le Mans 24 Heures Velo cycle race later this summer.
